Hosts are a myriad of things. They participate fully with each visiting team. They are the contacts for team members to come to with problems, questions, or needs. Hosts are CIN representatives and mediators between the BLC staff and teams. Hosts prepare for teams, guide teams, help teams, integrate into teams, and clean up after teams. Hosts know, understand, and work within Bolivian cultural standards and enable teams to do the same. They laugh, make friends, pray, plunge toilets, run constantly and sleep rarely. Hosts enable short term teams to be successful, and they love doing it!
Hosts must be 18 or older, able to commit to a minimum of one month on the field, and have participated in a CIN Bolivia trip previously.
We are currently seeking Spanish speaking hosts for this summer!!
Would you like to be a host? If so, complete the application and submit to our stateside office.
Estimated dates: June and July
Estimated cost: $3020 for the summer (actual cost will be determined based on the exact number of days in the field)
Hosts help mission teams to effectively serve Bolivians alongside Bolivians. They encourage, challenge, and enable members to be multicultural missionaries both while in Bolivia and after their trip is completed.
